The Ismaili CIVIC Service Award – Southwestern USA

The Ismaili CIVIC Service Award honors young leaders, ages 5–24, who exemplify dedication to serving their communities through the Ismaili CIVIC initiative. This award celebrates individuals who embody the true spirit of volunteerism—selflessly sharing their time, skills, and energy to create meaningful, positive change across our region.

Why Participate?

Service has always been at the heart of the Ismaili community’s global values. Rooted in the ethic of giving, civic engagement allows us to uplift society, strengthen community bonds, and address pressing social challenges—benefiting people of all backgrounds.

By recognizing these contributions, the award not only honors the outstanding efforts of individuals but also reinforces our shared responsibility to build a more compassionate, inclusive, and sustainable world. In celebrating these acts of service, we hope to inspire more members of the Southwestern USA Jamat to embrace this tradition and extend its impact even further.

How does the program work?

1. Pledge Hours: Participants can choose how many hours they wish to dedicate.

2. Track Progress: Participants will create a unique ID to track their service hours in real time.

3. Earn Awards: Based on the pledged hours, participants can receive the following awards:
• Impacter: 5-10 hours
• Advocate: 11-20 hours
• Leader: 20+ hours
